Wine Bottle CenterpiecesAfter seeing this DIY Tutorial online, I knew that I wanted to do these for my wedding centerpieces. My initial plan was to do exactly what she had done, but add a third bottle with the words, "and be married." However, after determining that my OCD was too strong to free hand the words on the bottles ( and excessive worry over the words being smudged after being written ) I formed a plan B.
I set my second plan into action by scooping up 72 wine bottles from a local brewing store and painting them a matte black, instead of with chalkboard paint. It provided the same look, but a more permanent solution. I ordered the words "eat," "drink," and "be married" from a friend who runs a decal business in a matte white. I then applied them by hand. This was, by far and away, some of the best money I spent on this wedding! All of the bottles are now identical and perfect, which my Type-A personality appreciates! I then picked up some silver, black, and green decorative sticks to stick into the bottles for some height and dimension. The silver came from Hobby Lobby, black from Michaels, and the green from HomeGoods. To finish off the centerpieces, I added my DIY votives for a pop of fun! I absolutely love these centerpieces and could not be happier with them! They turned out just as I hoped they would! |
